First finalists confirmed for Queen & King of the Court Utrecht

After a thrilling day in the BetCity Arena, the very first finalists of Queen & King of the Court Utrecht 2025 have been confirmed! All eyes were on the Dutch teams competing in the semifinals, with a direct ticket to Sunday’s finals on the line. Roared on by the home crowd, Boermans/De Groot and Brouwer/Van de Velde stepped up at the right moment and claimed the first spots in the final.

Final countdown begins after Dutch success
In the very first men's semifinal of the day, Brouwer/Van de Velde won all three rounds, convincingly becoming the first team to qualify for the final. Boermans/De Groot also impressed, winning the most points in every round to the delight of the Dutch crowd. In the third and decisive round, they reached 15 points within 10 minutes, an impressive feat that promises much for tomorrow’s final. The last three finalists will be decided tomorrow in the final men’s semifinal. Schachter/Pickett, George/Saymon, Smith/Webber, Nicolaidis/Carracher and the winners of the playoff will battle for the remaining spots. The last men’s semifinal starts at 14:50, followed by the final at 16:40.

American and Brazilian teams take control in women's semifinals
Two women’s semifinals took place today. In the very first match of the day, Dutch teams Van Driel/Bekhuis and Konink/Schoon gave it their all but came up short. It was Brazil’s Andressa/Tainá who came out on top, becoming the first women’s team to qualify for the final. In the second semifinal, three more Dutch team, Poiesz/Luini, Gras/Bak, and Piersma/Sonneville, took the court. Despite strong efforts, none of them scored enough points. Instead, it was the American duo Simo/Van Winkle who performed when it mattered, securing a spot in tomorrow’s final. The last semifinal is set for tomorrow morning, with three final spots still up for grabs. Helland-Hansen/Wachowicz, Vitória/Hege, Van Driel/Bekhuis, Poiesz/Luini and Konink/Schoon will battle it out. The women’s semifinal starts at 11:00, followed by the final at 13:10.
