QKOTC Crown Series comes to Stockholm in January 2026

Following this weekend’s historic Swedish success at the Beach Volleyball World Championships in Adelaide, where Åhman/Hellvig took gold and Hölting Nilsson/Andersson claimed silver, we are excited to announce our very first event in 2026. On January 29, the Queen & King of the Court Crown Series will make its debut in Stockholm at the Avicii Arena, bringing the world’s best players together for a one-of-a-kind indoor arena experience.

For Swedish fans, it’s the first chance to see the double Swedish World Championship medalists compete on home soil after their success in Australia. “It feels fantastic and perfectly timed to launch Stockholm Beach right now, in the midst of a Swedish beach volleyball moment unlike anything we’ve seen before. The audience will get to see the world elite live in Sweden’s most modern arena, and we’re proud to create a new winter event for a summer sport, putting Stockholm and Sweden firmly on the beach volleyball map,” says Jan Kowalski, event manager of Stockholm Beach.

The Swedish Volleyball Federation welcomes the initiative and sees the event as an important part of the sport’s rapid national growth. “It’s incredibly cool to have a beach volleyball event in such an iconic venue as Avicii Arena! We’re excited to start this collaboration with the Stadium Clubs, and that they, like us, see the potential in our sport. This will be an awesome opportunity to experience our Swedish world stars on home ground. I hope as many people as possible take the chance,” says Simon Dahl, Secretary General of the Swedish Volleyball Federation.
